The Weekly: What y'all want to talk about?
I'm back! The South Africa content is almost here. Talia Talk Tuesdays resumes March 5. I was on the radio. HuffPost cares about my book opinions. Plus: the 15 books I read in February.
Happy Monday!
Did you miss me?
South Africa was wonderful! İstanbul was cute! You’ll begin to see travel blogs (here) and vlogs (on TikTok and Instagram) starting Wednesday. Also, Talia Talk Tuesdays is back tomorrow! Tune in at 8 pm ET here. Potential topics up for discussion are below.
Haven’t been outside much since I’ve been back, but I will be. My March DMV Event Guide has more than 120 events celebrating Women’s History Month, St. Patrick’s Day, and the Cherry Blossom Festival.
Also, exciting news: I was on NPR, and HuffPost asked me for a book recommendation last month!
Speaking of books: My book club Fros & Prose met yesterday. We discussed A Love Song for Ricki Wilde by Tia Williams. It’s one of the 15 books I read in January. We’re discussing Kennedy Ryan’s This Could Be Us next.

15 Books I Read in February
1. A Love Song for Ricki Wilde - Tia Williams. The sweetest love story set in Harlem. Tia did it again.
2. All Boys Aren't Blue - George M. Johnson. Essential text for young people and the people want to ban this!
3. Acts of Forgiveness - Maura Cheeks. What if a future with reparations looks like this?
4. The Build Up - Tati Richardson. Where are human resources?
5. Savvy Sheldon Feels Good as Hell - Taj McCoy. Men building stuff!
6. Tempted by Danger (Danger Family book 1) - Endiya Carter. I ate this up! And the girls are saying the second book in the series is better!
7. Mercer (Berkley Bred book 4) - Grey Huffington. I didn’t even read the first three books in this series. I don’t I will. No one is seeing and outdoing Mercer! I know that for certain.
8. 12:01: A Delusional Enemies to Lover Romance - Bella Jay. This is so much better than watching the ball drop!
9. Work Husband - Octavia Grant. This is the most unhinged thing I’ve read.
10. Fat Ma - Nicole Jackson. Faith fucked the family, and I’m not mad at it.
11. Deeper (Unexpected Lovers book 1.5) - Rilzy Adams. Navaya and Xander are getting married!
12. softly. - Grey Huffington. A short and sweet friends-to-lovers story.
13. 10,000 Hours - Grey Huffington. Another short and sweet friends-to-lovers story.
14. Darke Hearts: Safe Haven - Grey Huffington. Why do I like the break-in trope so much? Lol.
15. The Gifted: A Short Treat - Grey Huffington. Yes, I’m reading Christmas books after Christmas.
